What Are Your Prospects?

Prospects has been a dream of mine for many, many years. I have been searching for a great financial application for the Macintosh for some time, but have never been able to find one that really does what I've wanted. Budgeting always seems so hard. Trying to see what's happening to my money always requires me to generate complex reports and constantly switch between windows or screens just to see the information. Working with transactions requires too much involvement of the mouse. In the end, I always find myself uninspired and unable to use my Mac to track my finances the way I want to.

So a while back, I set out to develop an application that solves these problems ... and the result is what you see here - MotiMotion Prospects. The application has gone through many changes over this time as I tried to come up with a solution that I felt would really change the way people are able to manage and visualize their money. Eventually I settled on the ViewPoints concept, which essentially provides mini-reports for the current account to the user at all times. The ViewPoints allow you to see, in real-time, the effects of every transaction you enter into an account. I think this concept is incredibly useful and can help anyone change the way they work with their money.

This application is in its infancy for sure. We have numerous releases already mapped out, with great new innovative features for each one. We know our user community will provide many ideas that we have not even thought of that will make Prospects significantly better. We will continue to adapt the application to meet the needs of our users and allow them to manage their money in a way that makes sense to them. And, we will work diligently to fix bugs and resolve issues as soon as possible.

Our goal is simple - create the absolute best personal finance application for the Mac and help as many people as we can manage their money effectively.
